Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Technology is a 1-year Diploma level course. Broadcasting is a new field and it deals with Radio and Television. The course covers the elements of the profession like Anchoring, Electronic News Gathering (ENG), Media laws, Ethics, Educational Broadcasting, Argumentation etc. The course will make the student enter the broadcast industry, which is very large.
The course includes various technologies from production, and post-production to different modes of Delivery to home including Satellite, Cable, IP and Handheld devices. Students are exposed to the ins and outs of the television industry with an engaging mixture of theory, practicals, workshops, and assignments. They also get an insight into the working of TV channels and other news media.
This program has a mandatory 6 months internship spanning. Post internship, the evaluation matrix facilitates employment opportunities. Eligibility Criteria for PG Diploma in Broadcast Technology
1. Applicant should have graduated in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks or its equivalent CGPA.
2. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience.
3. There is an age limit prescribed by a few institutes that provide part-time degrees.
4. According to some institutes, a candidate’s age should not be less than 27 years and not more than 40 years.
5. Candidates should have 40% to 60% in the undergraduate degree.
